KEEP IN MIND :
The use of one ton of " wood energy " (forestry biomass) allows
to avoid the emission of one ton of CO2 , of fossil origins, into
the atmosphere. The CO2 released by combustion of the biomass is absorbed
by plants and trees for their growth (photosynthesis) : part of cycle, it
does add itself to the one already contained in the biosphere, unlike the
carbon issued by the fossil fuels.

ENERGY and ENVIRONMENT
Thermal and electrical energy production from biomass
A gift of nature...
The term biomass covers a large field : wood and industrial waste from the
transformation of wood, forestry and agricultural offal's, the fermentable portions
of household and industrial food processing garbage's, etc.
Biomass is therefore a
gift of nature….
A renewable energy...
Traditionally, we would burn petroleum or gasoline to produce energy or power, with the
emission of gases inducing the greenhouse effect. At the same time, we are abandoning
unexploited quantities of biomass, leaving them to decompose in place therefore emitting
greenhouse effect gases without using ourselves that combustion energy… In short, we are
being wasteful... By exploiting biomass, as a substitute to fossil fuels, we reduce the emission
of CO2 and greenhouse effect gases responsible for the ever growing problem of climatic changes.
This biomass use also brings about a "more adequate and intelligent" way of managing urban,
forestry, agricultural and industrial waste.
The buried biomass, even having a high
level of humidity, may be used to feed BFI boilers.
Biomass is a renewable combustible, compared to the sources of "fossil" energy (fuel,
petroleum & coal) commonly used.
BFI proposes…
BFI proposes to exploit the abandoned or purposefully harvested quantities of biomass to retrieve heat
and electricity while producing no more greenhouses effect gases then those that the tree
used during its growth (photosynthesis). BFI's biomass boilers permit the conversion of these
different sources of biomass into heat and electricity, all the while favouring an effective
and almost prestigious way of using these resources. This recovering of resources, on a local
scale, creates jobs (creation of economical and technological networks).
